Jena Burton Wellness - Mindful Breathing

A reinvention

with intention.

“I truly believe that if everyone was a little healthier, they’d be a lot happier and this world would be a better place. This is why I got into coaching – to meet people where they’re at, help them figure out their wellness vision and guide them there with compassion.”

I’m extremely passionate about health and wellness because I know first-hand how little changes over time can completely transform your life. I certainly wish I had more guidance during my own journey, which is why I’m grateful I discovered coaching. I’m here so you don’t have to walk this (sometimes daunting) path alone.

It started in 2011 when I had these strange looking breakouts on my face and sometimes chest and back. I hadn’t much struggled with acne in the past so this was new for me. It was inflamed and patchy and no doctor, dermatologist or esthetician could help me. I was prescribed harsh topical products that just made things worse. I knew it had to be something internal but the route I was going wasn’t giving me any answers. This went on for over 5 years until a friend recommended a functional medicine doctor - something I was not familiar with at the time (and now I can’t stop talking about!)

This is when my life completely changed.

After this visit, I found out my gut was in shambles (also known as “gut dysbiosis”). I was also constantly bloated and tired but never realized it because it was my baseline (who can relate??) I had no idea my skin and my gut were related at the time and it’s what piqued my interest into whole body health. I became more curious about how our systems are connected, especially when it comes to mental and physical health. I was eating healthy, I was exercising, I slept pretty well. But I was also going out too much, was constantly stressed and on hormonal birth control for most of my life. I eventually learned there’s so much more to your wellness than what you eat and how you move (not to overlook their importance – they are foundational to your health, after all).

Fast forward to today, I’ve never felt better physically, mentally and emotionally. After over a decade working in marketing I knew I couldn’t keep this information I’ve learned over the years to myself. I discovered health coaching and couldn’t believe there was a job out there that was absolutely perfect for me. Combining my passion and knowledge for health and wellness with my empathetic, caring and curious qualities, coaching is what I was put on this earth to do.

I’m committed to helping people take their health into their own hands, setting them up for long-term success by meeting them where they’re at right now. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, which is why I use a patient-centered approach. Working with me as your health coach, I provide a safe space to explore, create, motivate and collaborate that will leave you feeling empowered.

Jena Burton Wellness - Hands on Heart

About JB Wellness.

I started this coaching and wellness education business to help others live their most vibrant life. Wellness isn’t just the absence of disease – it’s about feeling your best, living a life with purpose and at the end of the day, knowing you’re absolutely worth it. Although I am here to support anyone with their health goals, the core of it all is working with clients to strengthen the relationship with themselves. It’s the true foundation to your well-being and it makes implementing your health goals (whether it’s better sleep hygiene, optimal nutrition or a consistent exercise routine) more effortless.

This is what I’m here to do. To make your wellness, effortless.

Coaching is ideal for those wanting to implement healthier habits and not sure where to start as well as those looking for support with chronic diseases, conditions or symptoms.
